1.5This story is just a series of events that just happens to Amelia Donovan, is an OBGYN extraordinaire, and an unspecified (because he's really forgettable and totally bland) humanoid alien. There's no passion, real emotions, character development, romance or any sense. While on a ship doing research the heroine (somehow) drops into a container and wakes up on an alien ship three weeks later. No explanation, no investigation and she doesn't contact her ship. Everything is fine because there's insta-love and a new job at the drop of a hat. And Amelia just goes along with it because...why not. This story could've been interesting, even enjoyable if it was a bit longer and included some world building, real emotions and the main characters had strong consistant personality. Instead everything happened way too fast and in the end, there was very little to enjoy. This is one of those situations where you have to judge a book by it's cover.
