Review
I decided to read the source material that is the basis for Shchelkunchik, Balet-feyeriya by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky and the upcoming cinematic adaptation The Nutcracker And The Four Realms. The two stories are magical, and never drag for a moment. There is an intriguing tidbit about Hoffman as soon as you open the booke. I highly recommend it. Two versions of the same story for the price of one, and it didn't hurt that I was hearing the music from the ballet in my head as I was reading, either; in fact, it helped immensely.Read this and re-watch Fantasia (1940), or watch it for the first time if you've never seen it, before the Disney film comes out 2 November.
