Desciption
She hired him to take her virginity...but now she wants even more.Lori might be a popular romance writer, but she's never been anything but a flop with sex and love in her personal life. Still a virgin at twenty-six and increasingly frustrated by her inexperience, she decides to take matters into her own hands. She hires a talented, sexy male escort to take care of her inconvenient virginity. She assumes one time with Ander will be enough, but she never dreams how much pleasure he can make her feel. Once isn't nearly enough. Twice isn't enough either. Soon, she becomes one of his regular clients.Lori knows that nothing would be as foolish as falling in love with her paid escort, but she's never been wise with her heart. And, despite his professionalism, he doesn't seem entirely immune either.
Review
This book is absolute trash in terms of character development, plot, dialogues, writing and everything in between. ๐๐ฎ And when I say it's trash, I'm being deliberately tactful. First of all, congratulate me on acquiring the first safewordS of my life. From now on, I'll use words good/so good/all right only when someone crosses my boundaries in the most offensive way. Now they are forever associated in my mind with something a chick who hired a bald (I get traumatized all over again when I remember the heroine patting his bald, glistening head when he was inside her ๐) male prostitute would say during their each and every sexual encounter. Are there, maybe, other more creative ways to show how good a man who gets paid for sex carries out his job? No? โ ๐ฅฒ. Okay.On a serious note, I'm willing to pay for the physical copy of the English language dictionary for this author since she obviously finds it challenging to diversify her lexicon when it comes to describing almost any basic scene and her characters' ingenious thoughts. Which reminds me that 99% of the book revolved around sex. ๐Actually it's no exaggeration to say that the whole story consisted of lame sex scenes between the heroine and the gigolo whom she had hired to fuck her ๐ stuffed to the gills with lousy GOOD... SO GOOD...OH MY GOD (from the heroine)...IF YOU WANT...ARE YOU ALRIGHT? (from the hero) .SHE'S FUCKING ALL RIGHT, IT'S HER WHO HIRED YOU, BESTIE. MAYBE STOP WASTING MY TIME, YOU ANNOYING LITTLE SHIT, AND GET DOWN TO BUSINESS, HUH? I don't have all the time in the world. Literally every chapter corresponded to a separate fuck fest in a hotel room with the most boring and unoriginal hooker, wearing his dull suit and carrying an equally dull bag of lube, condoms and CDs ๐๐ (the man was smarter than he seemed, why bother arousing your client when erotic films could deal with the problem just fine), in the history of mankind. How many pages can one dedicate to showing (or was it... telling) how good, so good, oh my god (SHUT THE FUCK UP ALREADY, WILL YOU) exclusively hotel orientated hookups with a prostitute are?? The author's one and only task amounted to making the aforementioned scenes so hot that no bitch out there noticed the lack of plot or basic coherence. Instead, all she managed to achieve was to forever ruin a harmless, innocent G-word by playing it on repeat? These characters acted like damn robots. Predictable little shits. You can witness live how my extensive English vocabulary is slowly leaving my body as it's being subjected to basic books like this. ๐คก'D-โ for creativity and eloquence, Ms. Kent. Speaking of which.Inexplicably for me, the word "pussy" gave way to awkward "groin, heat and arousal" in this story. No way, guys, what a lying bitch face I was to have accused the author of constant repetition.๐ผ is absolutely irrelevant, and she came up with a solution! Good job. Well done. Keep it up.Now, lemme make a u-turn and change our exciting talk about pussies to more urgent matters like, for instance, the hero's sob story that I, sad as it might sound, couldn't sympathize with. ๐ Putting aside my cynism for a minute, I fully realize the implications of having daddy issues at the tender age of 32. A truly tragic case. *cries looking off in the distance with a cigar between her fingers*Authors who make their heroes sweet and caring:Me (looking at the heroes in question):Anyway, 2 stars for Ander (H) who kept milking the heroine for money even after having fallen irrevocably in love with her. Business acumen in action, and we love to see it.When he got offended by the heroine's suggestion to buy them both an ice cream on the trip that she had paid entirely for, I โ. ๐ Sweetie, I'm not hinting at anything, but you had already kinda bled the woman dry, drop the act. What propelled me to read a book with a blurb like that will forever remain a mystery for a poor shred of sanity residing in my brain.
